Armed with the book, Money on the Table by Dr. Ivan Misner & Lee Abraham, I set out to make a difference in the business networking results in my largest BNI chapter. The plan was simple. Lee Abraham and I had outlined a presentation for members to generate more business referrals by focusing on life events, such as having a baby.
Starting my presentation I held up a baby’s toy, “What does this toy, a pregnant woman and your Power Teams have in common?” There were a few snickers, but mainly I faced blank stares of the 40+ members who were seated, ranging from the photographer to the payroll service agency.
