Here’s a poem from one of my blog followers, Louis William Gambucci. Hope you enjoy it! Thank you Louis for sharing this with my other readers!
A SIMPLE DAY AT THE PARK
Sitting on a bench alone
My happiness I can’t condone
Without a word or phrase to say
As people go about their day
The people mingle to and fro
They rush to places they must go
While others sit from dawn till dark
And frolic gently about the park
They look around at sights to see
But never place their eyes on me
I’m only there to watch and learn
Their complicated lives that turn
The sky and trees are all around
But only people making sound
Walking swiftly like end is near
But only sound for me to hear
I am just a simple man
A simple life and simple plan
To be as happy as I could be
On a simple bench for all to see
